Q:) When was Great Lakes Homes founded?
Great Lakes Homes opened in 2013, but Owner David Dennis has been building houses for 20 years.
Q:) What advantages does Great Lakes Homes offer?

All of the building projects are managed by the owner. David Dennis doesn’t have project managers, which minimizes miscommunications. As the owner of Great Lakes Homes, he is invested in each project and makes sure it gets done right. David’s direct presence also speeds up the building process because he is on the site every day to give direction and answer any questions sub-contractors might have.

Great Lakes Homes also does all of its own foundations. The rest of the house can be built well, but it’s all for nothing if it’s built on a faulty foundation. We build the foundations ourselves to ensure it is built properly.

Great Lakes Homes has full-time electricians on staff.

We offer a 10-year waterproof warranty on basements.

Q:) What is the most important thing to consider before buying a home?
While our business is high-quality construction (and it’s rather important!), location is an important factor when choosing your dwelling. Things to consider include:
  • How long with my commute to work be?
  • How close is it to the center of the city?
  • Are there grocery stores located nearby?
  • And more!
Q:) Do you purchase permits?
Absolutely! The city requires several permits before and during construction.
